Find Your Way In

This is a book, a film series, a research effort, and a fellowship — all being built at once. Tell us why you came, and we'll point you to the right door.

Before the book · Before the series

Start Here

God was not absent at the cross. He was silent — and that silence was sovereign strategy. Watch this before you read anything else.

Chapter 0 · God & Technology Series

Silence Is Not Absence. Two thirds of heaven's army stood deployed at Golgotha — not absent, not unaware. Waiting under orders, because the Heir had to finish what only He could finish. The God who was sovereign at the cross is sovereign over every algorithm ever written.

The theological foundation

This Is Not a Book About Technology

It is a book about who owns it — and what happens when creation forgets its Creator.

I
The Universe as Prepared Estate
Genesis 1 · Hebrews 1:2
Creation was not random. It was a kingdom constructed for the Heir. Days 1–3 laid the foundations. Days 4–6 furnished the house with life, light, and steward. Day 7: the Creator rested — preparation complete, awaiting the Son. Every atom placed with purpose.
II
The Cosmic Rebellion
Isaiah 14:12–15 · Revelation 12:7–9
Lucifer refused to serve beings he considered inferior — mere dust. His rebellion was territorial: a coup attempt on the prepared kingdom. He was defeated. A third fell. The defeated do not concede — they contest. Every technology that seeks to replace the Creator is the same rebellion, wearing a new face.
III
The Modern Digital Front
Genesis 11:1–9 · Colossians 1:16
Silicon is refined sand — Soil v1.0 transformed by Soil v2.0. AI is derivative matter, stewarded or contested. We build technology either for God's glory — Temple architecture — or for autonomous human achievement without the King — the Tower of Babel rebuilt in server farms.
Every algorithm and digital boundary is a choice to serve — or contest — Christ's reign.

Three tiers of reader

Who Is This For?

This book was written at three depths simultaneously. Find yourself.

Tier 1 · Foundation
Parents, Families & Every Believer

"I am watching screens steal my children's souls and I don't know what the church has to say about it."

  • How to use technology without being used by it
  • Where to set boundaries with phones, AI, digital systems
  • Seven questions to ask before adopting any new technology
  • How to protect your family while engaging the digital age faithfully
Tier 2 · Frameworks
Pastors, Church Leaders & Thinkers

"My congregation is asking questions about AI and I need a theological framework that doesn't embarrass the faith."

  • Soil v1.0 → Soil v2.0 → Silicon: a creation-grounded hierarchy
  • Biblical archetypes: Eden, Babel, the Serpent, the Mark applied to AI
  • Temple Architecture: designing AI systems we inhabit, not serve
  • Two Kingdoms theology and Christ's present, active reign
Tier 3 · Frontier
Scientists & Frontier Explorers

"I work at the edge of what is known. Does ancient faith have anything honest to say to the frontier?"

  • Could the Tree of Life represent divine quantum-biological technology?
  • What has God been creating across 13.8 billion years?
  • What does the hard problem of consciousness reveal about resurrection?
  • How does quantum mechanics illuminate the nature of the new creation?

18 chapters · 5 parts

What's Inside the Book

One thesis across five movements. Jesus reigns — not just spiritually, not just eventually, but actually and presently over all of reality, including every technology built within it.

Part One
Foundations
The architecture of reality. Before the beginning. Soil v1.0, Soil v2.0, Silicon's derivative place in the hierarchy. Creation as prepared estate for the Heir.
Part Two
Biblical Archetypes of Danger
The Rebellion. The Tree of Knowledge. The Serpent algorithm. Babel reborn as AGI. The Mark of digital identity and control. Ancient warnings for a digital age.
Part Three
Practical Wisdom
Temple Architecture for AI systems. Practical guidance for individuals, families, and churches navigating the digital age with faith and discernment.
Part Four
Frontier Theology
Speculative and rigorous. The Tree of Life as quantum biology. Consciousness and resurrection. The new creation — matter redeemed, not escaped.
Part Five
The Three-Legged Stool
Integration. How Scripture, science, and pastoral wisdom stand together — and what collapses when any single leg is removed from beneath them.

On the horizon

Coming to God & Technology

COMING

The Saint Stephen Avatar

An AI companion in Rev. Mwaura's own likeness — one-on-one conversation about God, His Word, and divine wisdom, available any hour. Fully transparent: it will always tell you it is an AI reflecting Rev. Mwaura's teaching — never a replacement for Scripture, prayer, or your own pastor.

COMING

The LLM Council

The multi-voice AI council — theologian, scientist, pastoral voice, philosopher, elder — that pressure-tested every chapter of this book. Session recordings and new live debates will be published here.

This is no longer one man's project

Our Shared Mission

God & Technology began as a book. It is becoming a fellowship — pastors, scientists, engineers, parents, students, artists, teachers, and leaders building at the intersection of ancient faith and accelerating technology. The Founding Circle is where it starts.

Membership is not granted because of expertise alone, but because of a willingness to learn, contribute, and serve alongside others.

Why we exist
Because the church cannot afford to be the last voice to speak on the technologies reshaping what it means to be human. We exist so that faithful, informed people are present at the frontier — not retreating from it.
Who belongs
Pastors. Scientists. Engineers. Parents. Students. Artists. Teachers. Business and government leaders. Anyone seriously exploring the intersection of faith and technology — from any nation, at any depth.
What members do
Discuss. Learn. Build. Research. Pray. Create. Serve. From book studies to AI-ethics working groups to hands-on projects — members shape the work, not just follow it.
What happens after you join
You receive the newsletter, invitations to webinars and community discussions, research opportunities, and first access to project collaborations — beginning with the Founding Charter.

The Founding Charter · Read before joining

Before this fellowship grows, it will be given its constitution — a declaration answering why we exist, what we believe about technology, what kind of people we are becoming, how we disagree, and what future we are building.

Every founding member reads it before joining.

Not merely opinion — scholarship

Our Research

The estate war framework, the Soil v1.0 → Silicon hierarchy, the Temple-vs-Tower test — this work is becoming a body of research. These are the streams, open to contribution from the Fellowship.

Stream 01
AI Ethics
Frameworks for building and deploying AI under Christ's lordship — boundaries, stewardship, and the Temple Architecture test applied to real systems.
Stream 02
Biblical Studies
The theology of creation, rebellion, and redemption applied to technology — Genesis to Revelation, exegeted with rigour, not proof-texted.
Stream 03
Case Studies
Real churches, families, and institutions navigating AI adoption — documented outcomes from Kenya and across the world.
Stream 04
White Papers & Reviews
Position papers, book reviews, and responses to major developments in AI — written for pastors, scholars, and policymakers alike.
Stream 05
Open Questions
The frontier list: consciousness, the Tree of Life, the speed of creation, machine personhood — questions we hold with humility and pursue with discipline.

Rev. Stephen Gitau Mwaura
Ordained Minister · Inventor · Innovator · Author · Chatterbox Studio · Kenya

Rev. Stephen Gitau Mwaura is an ordained minister, government-recognised inventor, and award-winning innovator based in Nairobi, Kenya. Ordained as a Servant of God by the Christian Priest Foundation Church on 22nd June 2008 (Certificate No. 08002), he has spent three decades simultaneously pursuing two vocations most people keep separate — faith and technology.

Since 1997, the Government of Kenya has formally recognised him as an Entrepreneur and Innovator. His company, Modern Electro Technology, won a Certificate of Merit (3rd Place, SMEs Category) at Kenya Industrialization Week, KICC, November 2013 — the same week he pitched his educational software directly to President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Nairobi International Trade Fair. KTN Prime featured him that year as an inventor. In October 2015, he received a Certificate of Appreciation from ICABUMPA-iN4iN — co-convened by Mount Kenya University and Leipzig University — for outstanding exhibition contribution at the International Conference for Advancement of Business Management Practices in Africa. He has also exhibited at the WTO MC10 World Commodity Conference, Nairobi.

As founder of Chatterbox Studio, he brings that same faith-informed, practically grounded spirit to the defining question of our moment: What does Jesus's lordship over all of creation mean for the age of artificial intelligence? God & Technology: Brace for Impact is not a sudden idea. It is a long obedience arriving at its moment.
